Dear Readers,
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia highly appreciates a close and continued
cooperation with the Armenian Marketing Association aimed at raising awareness about Armenia’s
economic environment, investment and export opportunities.
The current policy of the Armenian government oriented to provide favourable business environment
as well as great opportunities for investments and exports by eliminating the obstacles and
limitations and increasing country’s access to big markets. The results are testified by many
renowned international rankings. Through Armenia’s membership in Eurasian Economic Union
(EAEU) our partners may have a customs-free access to more than 180 million consumers. The
new Comprehensive and enhanced partnership agreement with the EU opens new opportunities
for the economic activities not only for the Armenian but also European business community.
Armenia also enjoys benefits from the GSP+ regime with the EU, which allows to export more than
6,400 Armenian products to Europe on preferential terms.
Armenia may serve as a bridge between EAEU and other economic blocs — the European Union,
countries, associated with it, also with Iran and countries of Near East.
Common border, visa free regime with the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as free trade economic
zone operating in Meghri provide convenient access to the 80 million strong Iranian market. The
forthcoming inauguration of major infrastructure projects such as North-South highway corridor will
make Armenia the shortest transit route connecting the Gulf region with the Black Sea ports.
We believe that the Armenia Export Catalog 2017- 2018 will give present the diversified business
opportunities in Armenia and open new avenues for cooperation with the Armenian companies.
